Poor Bicolanos

I just read that around 7,000 families are set to go back to their homes as the alert level of Mayon Volcano has been lowered. That pretty much sucks for them since they were all driven out (forcibly for some) of their homes due to PHIVOLCS’ gloom and doom declarations of a massive eruption. Well, that did not happen. The volcano hiccupped, and belched and then it’s going back to sleep. I know that we have to be careful and cannot predict these kinds of things, but if I was a resident, I would be secretly fantasizing of kicking the asses of these scientists for displacing them out of their homes just before Christmas, and then let them go back after New Year. Imagine, your holiday vacation gets spent in cramped evacuation centers. No wonder the residents do not want to leave their homes. They might know more about these things.
